# Maybloc API pricing: per-minute rates and add-on prices

> calico-1-flash costs $0.006 per minute, billed by the second. Add-ons cost a fraction of a cent per minute. Failed and canceled transcripts are free. Worked example.

## How much does transcription cost?

The model, `calico-1-flash`, costs $0.006 per minute of audio, billed by the second. A 60-minute recording costs $0.36.

## How much do add-ons cost?

Each add-on is charged per minute on top of the model price.

## What is a worked example?

A 60-minute recording with `smart_format` and `insights` costs \$0.45.

## When am I charged?

The price is held from your balance when you create a transcript and charged when it completes. If your balance is too low, `POST /transcripts` returns `402`. Failed and canceled transcripts are not charged. You can check your balance with `GET /account`.

## How do I add credit?

Add credit in the [console](https://app.maybloc.com/billing). Credit is prepaid.
